Forever Card helps couples create wedding and engagement invitations and send every guest a personal link. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you use Forever Card — as a couple with an account, or as a guest who receives an invitation — why we handle it, and the choices you have.
Forever Card is operated by Forever Card, based in Lebanon. Questions about this policy: hello@everly.local.
Who is responsible for your data
For account holders (couples), Forever Card is responsible for the personal data in their account.
For guests, the couple decides whom to invite and which details to enter about them (for example a name and phone number). The couple is responsible for having a good reason to share those details with us and to contact their guests; we process them on the couple’s behalf, only to run their invitation. Guests can contact the couple or us — we will help either way.
What we collect
When you create an account
- Your name, email address and, if you add it, a phone number.
- Your password, stored only as a secure one-way hash (we can never read it).
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and Google account identifier, as shared by Google. We do not receive your Google password.
When you build an invitation
- The invitation’s content: names, dates, venues and maps, schedule, dress code, wording, gift registry details you choose to show (such as an IBAN or a Whish number), and your design choices.
- Photos, videos and music you upload.
About guests (entered by the couple)
- Name and title, and optionally phone number, email, family side, number of seats, table and seat, and private notes.
- Their answer (coming or not, how many, an optional message) when they reply through their link.
- When their personal link was first and last opened, and how many times — this is how couples see who has seen the invitation. Visits by the couple themselves and by link-preview robots (such as WhatsApp’s) are not counted.
- People who answer through a general invitation link (if the couple allows it) give us their name, an optional phone number and their answer.
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive the amount, the status of the payment and an order reference — never your card details.
Technical data
Like any website, our servers receive your IP address and browser details with each request. We use them briefly to keep the service secure (for example to limit repeated sign-in attempts) and do not use them to profile you.
How we use it
- To provide the service: show invitations to the right guests, record answers, give couples their guest list, tracking, seating and table finder.
- To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and keep the records the law requires.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send marketing to guests.
Why we are allowed to
We process personal data to perform our contract with the couple, to meet legal obligations (such as accounting records), with consent where it is required, and for our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable service. We follow Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, and we respect the rights that visitors from other countries, such as the European Union, have under their own laws.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open. If you ask us to close it, we delete your account and invitations, except records we must keep.
- Invitations, guest lists, answers and uploaded media: until the couple deletes them or closes their account.
- Payment records: for as long as accounting and tax law requires, even after an invitation is closed.
- Security logs: for a short period.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given. Couples can edit most of their data directly in their dashboard.
Guests can ask the couple to change or remove their details, or write to us and we will help. To use any of these rights, email hello@everly.local. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the authority responsible for data protection where you live.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, access to the systems is restricted, and each guest link uses an unguessable code. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you ever happens, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Accounts are for adults (18 and over). Couples may list children as guests; their details are handled like any guest’s.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders about important changes by email or in the app.
